New River Bridge

Leaving Fayetteville, West Virginia, this morning, we crossed over the New River. The gorge was filled with fog.

The New River Bridge was completed in 1977. It is the longest single span steel bridge in the world and, at 876 feet above the river, the second highest bridge in the USA

We hiked down to the lookout point.

And watched as the fog started to dissipate.
