I already mentioned that the hotel we’re staying at in Hamburg shares the building with three other hotels, but there are a couple more unusual features.

The hallways are designed to look like a street scene.

And over our bed on the wall are lights designed to make it look like a starry night.

But the strangest feature was the shower that made you feel like you were in a disco. The showerhead had a light in it that changed color while the water ran through it.

A little peculiar, but very comfortable and nice and the best breakfast we’ve had anywhere so far! We would stay again.

Tomorrow we travel to Travemünde. This is the coastal town that I stayed in back in 1980 with the Stehlins, fixing up the Island Trader. I can’t wait to see how the place has changed in 30 years.
