Québec City

We just arrived in Québec after another all-day drive, but we plan to stay here for at least four nights. It’s beautiful here and there’s lots to do and plenty to see.

Québec City was the main French settlement in America (outside of New Orleans) back in the 1700s and a major battle of the French and Indian War (the Seven Years War in europe) was fought here at the city’s gate – this was a walled city like the old cities of europe.

There’s also a small mountain range nearby with great hiking, especially since the leaves are at the height of changing colors.

And, we found a neat little private campground with a view of the St. Lawrence River out our window!

But, now, it’s time for dinner!
