We are early risers. Most days, we get up around 6:00, grab a cup of coffee, and sit on our balcony reading our iPads as the sun rises over the Atlantic. It’s a very relaxing way to start the day. At the end of the day, it’s traditional in the Keys to look west over Florida Bay to watch the sunset.

Here on Bradenton Beach we sit on the Gulf of Mexico and face west, so our morning routine gave us a beautiful moonset instead of a sunrise. It’s kind of disorienting for us, but every bit as beautiful.
