Thursday we decided to ride bikes to the north end of Anna Maria island to the Rod and Reel Pier for brunch. It was 5 or 6 miles to the pier, for a round trip of around 12 miles. The restaurant sat at the end of the pier.

We rode the bikes around the north end of the island for a little ways, then headed back, stopping at the beach for a soda and to read on a bench overlooking the Gulf. The main public beach, where we stopped, was really crowded.

After our bike ride, we went into Bradenton to a book store, but first I took a couple pictures of our beach bungalow.

Well, actually I took a couple pictures of this good-looking wife of mine; the bungalow just happened to get in the picture.
